As we gear up for our annual race, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your support over the past 8 years of our Run Victoria 5K event. Your participation has not only made each event a success but has also contributed significantly to the growth and maintenance of our beloved parks and trails.
This year, we are thrilled to introduce the NEW Derby Day 5K, 1-Mile, and Kid's Dash, taking place on May 4th at Friedman Park. This event is more than just a race; it's a celebration of the trails we've built together and a chance to pave the way for even more beautiful paths in the future.
Instead of our traditional Run Victoria event, we've chosen to rebrand and reschedule to align with Derby Day, creating an exciting new tradition for our community. You heard that correctly, Run Victoria will be no more, we are now hosting Derby Day 5K.
Join us as we lace up our running shoes and kick off the day with a burst of energy and camaraderie.
Here are the event details:
Date: May 4th
Location: Friedman Park
Schedule:
5K at 8:00 am
1-Mile for 9-12 year old's at 9:00 am
Kid's Dash for 8 & under at 9:30 am
But wait, there's more! To add to the festivities, we'll have an inflatable and Kona Ice Truck (for purchase), making it a fun-filled family affair for all ages. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a day of outdoor enjoyment, there's something for everyone.
The cost to participate is just $10 for the Kids Dash, $15 for the 1-mile and $30 for the 5K. To join us at this family fun event, simply click the link below to register today.
Your participation and all proceeds benefit Warrick Trails and Warrick Parks Foundation to continue to fund, develop and maintain all of our trails and parks, ensuring they remain accessible and enjoyable for generations to come. Early Packet Pickup will be at Friedman Park East Shelter on Friday, May 3rd from 3pm to 6pm. Race day packet pickup starts at 7:00am at Friedman Park.
